Ah, February, the shortest month of the year… and that means there’s no time to lose when it comes to satisfying that mid-winter sweet tooth! With Valentine’s Day and school winter breaks in mind, we’ve put together three snackable desserts that will bring a pop of color, family fun, and as always, deliciousness to the shortest and coldest of days. You’ve likely encountered these treats before, but we guarantee you haven’t enjoyed them with the delectable Rhino twists we’re known for!
Blended, on top, or served on the side, our cookie dough and inclusions are ready-to-eat straight out of the package, delivering all the joy of a stolen spoonful of batter, but without the health safety concerns. In fact, our team takes apart all 100 pieces of the snackable cookie dough machine every day to meticulously clean each piece before reassembling it for the next batch. Packed with a variety of our famous snackable cookie dough and baked bites, these family favorites go from YUM to OMG in one bite. Be inspired, enjoy responsibly, and share generously!
Raspberry & Fudge Brownie Milkshake
For Valentine’s Day this year, let’s skip the chocolate covered strawberries in favor of a fresh raspberry and fudge brownie milkshake. Nothing says, “I love you,” like homemade and it’s near impossible to beat the sensuous combination of rich chocolate enveloped in a sweet, fresh raspberry embrace. Once your milkshake ingredients are blended, that’s when you’ll add a big handful of fresh, tart raspberries and another handful of dense, chewy Rhino Baked Brownie Bites. Make sure you don’t use all your raspberries and brownies in the mixture, as you’ll want some for topping it all off at the end. Once your creamy milkshake is blended to perfection, pour into a chilled glass and dress it up with an irresistible topping of whipped cream and the remaining raspberries and brownie bites. Looking for a lower-fat version? Substitute frozen yogurt or sherbet for the ice cream, or a raspberry or cran-raspberry fruit juice for part of the milk. Happy Valentine’s Day all our dessert-minded kindred spirits out there!
Peanut Butter & Fudge Brownie Trail Mix with Vanilla Ice Cream
This is not your grandparents’ trail mix. While there is nothing objectively wrong with a trail mix anchored by good ol’ raisins and peanuts, it simply won’t compare to the added crunchy sweetness (and ice cream) that, given the option, we’re going to choose every time and enjoy by the spoonful. The primary ingredients here are honey glazed almonds for the crunch, white chocolate chips for the creamy, and dried cranberries for the tart sweetness. To really punch up the chewiness and bring it all together, throw in Rhino Ready-To-Eat Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Bites AND Fudge Baked Brownie Bites. We’ll leave it to you for how much of each to add, but if you ask the kids that we consulted for this combo, there’s no such thing as too much. Combine all these into a delicious mix that you serve atop or alongside a fresh cup of classic, creamy vanilla bean ice cream for an unforgettable frozen dessert, no trail required.
It’s the classic, ooey-gooey family favorite blasted with birthday cake flavor. There are only three ingredients in the original Rice Krispies Treats recipe (butter, marshmallow and Rice Krispies cereal), so it’s quite simple to elevate this yummy snack up to a whole new, rainbow-flecked next level. When you’re adding the Rice Krispies into the mix, all you’ve gotta do is drop a generous pour of Rhino Birthday Cake Funfetti Pieces into the mix, as well. Your finished treats will be sprinkled with fun blues, reds, pinks, yellows, greens and purples that can be enjoyed by snackers of every generation. If you cut and bag these up individually, they’ll make a perfect, personal-sized birthday cake substitute for a classroom party in late 2021. Once cooled, you’ll have about two days to enjoy these before they dry out and harden into the Rice Krispies version of a jawbreaker. Challenge accepted?
The thing about classic desserts is they’re just that — classic. If they were cool in the days of yore, they’ll be cool for all time. The Rhino twists we’ve applied to these classics are simply our way of showing gratitude for the desserts and snacks that laid the foundation for the treats we make and love to share so much. As 2021 unfolds and the first days of the new year lead us into new seasons and towards new horizons, may your days be sweet, your memories true, and your hearts full.
